Been said, but he's an ambassador for LSU and was wildly popular with the fanbase during his career here. He's an all-time great Tiger and one of the best players I've seen in Death Valley. I'll support him forever for all that.

Plus, he's already one of THE premier corners in the game and still so young. He and Tyrann are gonna wreak havoc in that secondary for years to come. Take that to the bank

He's top 5 along with Sherman, Haden, Talib, and Revis.

The game wasn't even that important.

I don't know why Oregon fans are still upset about it.

Idk. I kinda miss that one that would type a novel every post and totally melt down if anyone disagreed. I think he was also the one that was overly obsessed with 40 times as well.

We won our bowl game

Congrats on yall's Super Bowl though. It was a great shutout by the real SEC powerhouse on 1/9 That Oregon season was lost in terms of Natty hopes in the loss to USC. I'll take the Rose Bowl win though.

And I agree with that other poster. I'd say he's top 5. Talib, Haden, Sherman, and Revis. I'd take those 4 if I were starting a team today and needed a CB for THIS season.

If you want to say he's not an elite NFL DB yet fine, but to say he wasn't great in college is ludicrous...
He was hands down the best DB in college his junior year, he essentially locked down a whole side of the field for LSU. Nobody ever threw the ball at him, and when they did (LOL Miss st), it was usually intercepted

I know this is a troll post but I'll respond anyway....
We raped your bitch arse track and field team that pretends like it's a football team up and down the field. Our DE ran down your "Heisman hopeful" running back from behind, the Honey Badger tea bagged your special teams. We proved once and for all that Oregon can't hang with the big boys, and started the chain reaction that sent your coach to the NFL and your lack of perspective, self entitled, tail spinning program into mediocrity

Nice try though

You misunderstand.

There are only 4 great CB's.
3 Elite.
2 Bonafide.
1 perfect.

Peterson is 5 so he's good.

You rocked this dudes world. Oregon football is soft. They fold against every single team that is more physical than them. And every single off season we get bombarded with OREGON IS A LEGIT CONTENDER.

They are not worth a frick. When USC and Washington get off the mat your program and it's elite facilities will fricking rot. Who cares if you have track stars all over the football field. It doesn't make them great football players. Your a late 80's team living in a a different football universe. Your Schtick is over. Miami might be shite right now but at least we have tradition. In twenty years no body is going to give a solid shite about all of your 10 win seasons.

PP21 could soon be the highest paid defensive player in the league, and deserving of every penny. Him and Fitz are the face of the franchise right now.

He was a total stud in college.

Don't know why you're reaching to make a point there.

I think your point about a national title is relevant in that - most CFB fans revere players who won a title for their school - and with other players they move on as the players move on to the Pros...

On this point - don't really get the CFB fan - going on and on and on about PP7 - he's gone...move on. He ain't at LSU anymore.

And as for the massive love...I sort of don't get it either from LSU fan.

He's not Peyton Manning. He's a CB. In a league with a lot of good CBs.

He's a great athlete - really great athlete and a freak of nature.

But why LSU fans act like he is Reggie Bush or Vince Young or Tebow or Cam or...guys brought titles to their school and were Heisman revered...is beyond me.

LSU fans act like PP7 is their modern day Billy Cannon. You can't say shite about him. It's beyond weird. But - I guess - you latch onto - whatever you have been offered...and no Heisman winners, etc and nothing to show on offese...he's their best offering.

you didn't go to LSU. Maybe I get liking the football team, but now you sidewalk fans are concerned with how people represent the school you didn't go to
