The Associated Press NFL MVP award is the big one, but this is still noteworthy.

Mahomes definitely deserves it.
The stats are just too overwhelming in his favor.
The Chiefs need to take advantage of this window before they have to pay him as the franchise player he already is. Coming off MVP this early, he's going to break the bank.

I'm not even sure Brees will be second.
I do think Brees had the tougher schedule and Brees won more big games.

I mean, that is a fact. 4th hardest schedule in the league I think.

But still Mahomes deserved it and Brees just fell off too hard down the stretch.

The Saints beat the NFL MVP QB in 2009, when Brees should have won...

Go through the great quarterbacks in history,
Mahomes did things this year I've never seen a QB do in this league and that's pretty impressive.

Some of the throws he made at critical times are throws I don't think I've seen the greatest make, including Montana, Marino, etc.

Brees has been the stat king his whole career, no MVP. This kid hit one nice stat Brees never hit, 50 TD's. Wins MVP. bullshite!

frick his stats.

Brees literally did what he did this year for years & years in a row and got nothing. All of sudden yards & TD’s matter more than any other stats? frick that.

You mean the INT’s when his team needed to score?
