Right. It was McMurphy's story that cost him his job.

“I would just put my hands up to try to stop anything that was going on, to hold her or move her out of the way so that I could go through the doorway or whatever,” Smith said. Asked how that would create bruises, he replied, “I guess you’d have to be there. If someone is being aggressive with you and you’re trying to defend your actions with that person and you try to grab their arms to stop aggression and get through a doorway to get out of the situation then it’s very possible. I don’t know what else to tell you.
Lol. Please someone defend this guy. If he is completely innocent, please defend him for staying in the marriage for 6 or whatever years.

No he wasn’t actually
So that's the high road you are going to choose? He was fired for violating a protective order? Why did she need a protective order? And if he was such an honest innocent man, why would he violate it in a manner that would get him fired?
If someone wants to tell me they don't think Meyer should be fired for having a wife beater on their staff for 6 years, I can honestly live with that. He was never arrested, his wife stayed with him. No crime was committed, potentially no university policy was broken. Urban will be hired immediately elsewhere, so why fire him? I can live with that.
But don't try and tell me Urban and Zack Smith are innocent truth tellers.

There actually wasn't a protective order in place that he violated. None were granted until the ex parte order that was put in place three weeks ago.

You're missing the point. This is an issue of domestic violence but that didn't cost him his job. Urban and OSU were perfectly fine looking the other way until McMurphy forced their hand.
He'd still be employed if not for the story.

More than likely LeBron hasn't put up any of the money personally.

The false, inaccurate story that has since been revised?

What story is that? You mean the one about domestic abuse, a cover up, and a protective order?
You don't get fired over stories. You get fired over stories with truths or that you lied about.

You think they fired him for another reason?

Her attorney was approached by an attorney representing Ohio State in 2015. It's already documented. What was discussed is attorney/client information so we'll never get that.
Attorney client privilege doesn't apply to two attorneys talking to each other.

OSU sets timetable for Meyer investigation
You know OSU’s currently defending against 3 Title IX lawsuits? If OSU’s Title IX regulation was not complied with and the requisite procedure was not conducted regarding the 2015 allegations, they immediately become vulnerable to another Title IX lawsuit and consequently a reputation of a pattern of malfeasance which I presume the university wants to avoid at all costs, their brand is big enough to handle the short-Term public reaction if they fulfilled their legal obligation but Title IX and lawsuits are a whole different animal from a reputation perspective.

His original story said Smith was arrested in 2015, which led to the Meyer questioning at B1G media day, which has led to today.
He was never arrested in 2015, so that could EASILY have been why Meyer said 2015 was "nothing"

McMurphy has since spoken to us and clarified what he says happened. McMurphy’s original report claimed that Smith had been arrested during the October 26, 2015 incident. McMurphy says that a revised version of the report from the Powell Police, released after his original report, indicated that Smith had actually not been arrested. “The terminology used by the Police Department was different in the original report (dated 10/26/2015) and inconsistent with what actually occurred,” Megan Canavan, director of communication for the Powell Police Department, told McMurphy.

McMurphy claimed Smith was arrested in 2015.
He has since retracted that portion of his original story without a proper header or footer on his Facebook post (since he isn't employed currently).
There are certainly tough questions that need to be answered, but putting out a false narrative is unfair.

To an extent, yes.
And many times they are abused.
What's the point?

Your contention that "all ex parte orders are unconstitutional" is pure silliness.

He's not getting fired, and most people here will be rustled since LSU fans have an irrational hatred of him.
