I wonder how much trash talk will go on this week with USC coming to town?
Did CU learn anything? We will see.
People really buy into these narratives.
CU could've been quiet as field mice and it's the same result every time. One team that had a bunch of good recruiting classes beat up on another team that doesn't have a lot of good players. The talk had no effect on the outcome.

I think it's tacky for the Oregon football program to release a video (captioned at that!) of CU players talking trash before the game.
Not at all after the way the media went after Lanning's pregame speech. frick them.

Oregon is the one doing it for clicks now

Eh, I’m fine with it for now. Colorado earned it.
We’ll see what Oregon does in the video dept if they come out and beat Washington in a couple weeks.

i would expect players to talk trash to get amped up.
It's part of the game, especially now. What I thought was interesting (saw a few examples in the videos) was the number of Colorado players that were more focused on trash talking, watching Oregon get loose, and being on "Oregon's side of the field" during the pre-game when they should have been working on their warmups and focusing on the game they are about to play.

Colorado acting all stupid

I agree Oregon is more about flash, which makes the beatdown more embarrassing. Letting a flashy team come in and bitch slap you up and down the field all game is a bad look after talking trash.
I like cocky teams, I even enjoy teams that run their mouths. 2019 LSU was cocky, 2009 Saints were. They weren't coaches walking to the other team's players warming up running their mouths cocky though. 2019 LSU wouldn't run their mouths and get man handled by Oregon or any other team either

Then why do it? Hmmmm…

Obviously that's how he motivates his players. Whatever teams feel they have to do to motivate their players, good for them.
What sense would it make for Deion Sanders to be meek and modest when that's never been him? It'd come off as fake, and the same people who are criticizing him now for being boisterous would criticize him for fake modesty.

Lot of folks are big mad that Oregon beat Colorado so bad. Southern Cal is likely to do the same. Good thing they don't have Washington on schedule would likely be another 40 point loss.

Joel Klatt get these new Colorado fans in their feelings about how these coaches don’t want to see a brother succeed because he said coaches want to embarrass Deion and Colorado lol.

Trash talking is one thing. If you’re going to do it, then don’t whine when you have a target on your back and people don’t like you.

It’s not about the trash talking. It’s about Colorado’s trash talking and the significance of one of the most famous trash talkers being their coach.

CU really got to them. Figured they move on to the next game.
You don't think the players and coaches put this together, do you?

Oregon's social media team didn't do it for the clicks

Exactly. So posters like Dr RC should have no problem with Lanning's pregame speech, or Oregon's media team delighting in last Saturday's beatdown.

No idea they were talking that much shite directly to Oregon.

Posted on 9/26/23 at 10:46 am to Fun Bunch
Kind of hard playing the victim when your players are running their mouth about how they’re going to beat the coach’s arse

In my book it's all fair game. You have to take it if you want to dish it out.
