On this day, let's remember how good College Gameday used to be

Not even 12 yrs ago, and it was probably the greatest Gameday episode ever.
Corso is about 80 here, obviously not his peak, but still had it. Losing him and Fowler is what truly killed the soul of the show. The show is almost unrecognizable to this now.
What a shame.

The show shifted when Corso unfortunately got that stroke

that was really entertaining...i remember thinking Katie Perry was so stinking adorable when she did her picks.

Who cares about ESPN Gameday?
College Football is better than ever.
We finally have an actual playoff system where teams/conferences have to prove it on the field.
We have NIL, so cheaters no longer prosper.

I’d say outside of missing Corso, GD is more exciting than ever

Ole Miss won that game too I believe

Isn’t this the corn dog episode?

I realize McAfee is supposed to be the “character” to replace Corso’s character, but Pat is insufferable….at least silly Corso brought former coaching experience.

McAfee is so terrible. I dont see how anyone is a fan of his any more.

Think Fowler leaving had a bigger negative impact. Rece is a fig.

The product just isn’t made for you any more. It’s viewership is at an all time high and is still the highest rated college football morning show.

What was the Katy Perry connection to Ole Miss, again? Her agent went there or something? Either way one of the most random and best celebrity guest pickers the show has had.
I also miss the days of when the guest picker was a surprise and wasn’t announced days ahead of time.

McAffee and Saban have made it watchable again.
I have no idea how Desmond Howard keeps his job. He offers nothing to the analysis and has very little personality on camera

They do have a good little Funny Man/Straight Man dynamic.

While I completely agree it used to be better, this board had threads complaining about the show back then too

It's gotten better with Saban and I like the energy Pat brings
