I'm thinking Sweden because Finland will get the #1 seed with a win (because of Goal diff.). After hearing you all speak, wouldn't it be best to be in the bracket opposite of #3 Russia and #6 Canada?

Once you get to the semis (assuming we get there, which isn't a gimme), whoever we play will be tough, so I really don't think it matters too much, the important thing was just getting one of the top 4 seeds.

I think the 1 seed was important as I think there is a drop off after the 7th seed (dont tell canada lol).

So by getting the 1 seed we get winner of 8/9 (swiss/belarus I think)... which is better then one of the other 6.

To get # 1, we need either OT or Sweden winning by less then 5 if they score atleast 8 goals or by less then 6 if they dont get 8 (not saying I expect a blowout in this rivalry, but it is what it is)

I hold him soley responsible for the lockout and also wished David Stern would take him back to the NHL. It was because of him the renaming of the Conferences and Divisions were done.

Just to clarify, 5th-12th winner plays 4th. 6th-11th winner plays 3rd. 7th-10th winner plays 2nd. And 8th-9th plays 1st. Correct?

Looking at it, you're right, I'd rather play the 8th/9th than 7th. But when you get to the semis, it really doesn't matter whether you play 3rd, 6th, 5th, or 4th, they're all going to be tough, I guess was my point.

NBA went on the up and the NHL was in the dumps, if Ovie and Sid wernt such big stars who knows were the NHL would be

Someone early on in this thread mentioned that Miller had been pretty average this year. This is completely false. He has been one of the top goalies in the NHL. He took the team on his shoulders tonight and could do it again. He has been as good as he was tonight most of the year.

Check out his stats for the year.

But Russia is so massive, there are several areas that aren't frozen.
