The last two play calls were situationally perfect. The first one the guy drops a would be 1st down. The second they run a play to get a pass to the sideline…get exactly that…then the idiot doesn’t just step out of bounds

I'm guessing he thought he could turn it up field and get the first down to stop the clock. I still don't like it because it's a short stop and would have put an assload of pressure to get the FG team on the field and snap it before the clock ran out.

If he would have gone out of bounds, they go to the half with it being a 1 score game.
