If there’s no rule on when the ball went OOB then he got the first

Whatever ESPN just used on replay shows a clear first down. I doubt the refs will have that same tool.

I think that may have been an incredible, Mahomes-esque reach for the first down, upon further review...

I think it’s a first, will be close

Feels like that should be a first down unless that foot was out of bounds early

Not sure if he got the first, but that was a terrible spot by the ref.

Yeah I’m not sure about the OOB rule in college.

Launching is also a factor. Imo there was a launch there.

Bowers gets the blame for not making sure he got it. He had room to power his way and dive forward…it’s 4th down in a playoff game you have to do better there

Looks like a first down. Terrible spot either way to miss it by basically a full yard.

Bad spot. Refs want ohio st to win so badly

All of a sudden espn has the best freaking camera technology in the modern world. Why did I watch the game earlier and it was basically like a VHS tape.

Bad spot but I think it will be very close once respotted.
If it's short by an inch or a yard it doesn't matter. Was fourth down.
bullshite reversal.

That’s extra sketch without knowing where it crossed.
