Pulling HARD for Anaheim tonight - Cale needs any extra time to rest. Doubtful he will be close to 100% for the rest of the run, unfortunately. He has me worried.

Vegas plays a tough physical game and will beat him up.
I do think they take Game 6 tonight, blegh.

Our goal horn guy needs to chill. We have one of the loudest barns in the league. I want to hear how loud they are, not a cruise ship horn blaring for 25 seconds. Sorry for the rant, but it’s bugged me for years now haha.

I’m also so glad we get some extra rest. I have a feeling we’re getting Vegas as well. That’s how it should be though.

Carolina boxes teams in-dictates the pace of the game-dominates with just pure hockey fundamentals and positioning. Avs will beat you any way you want. That's a 7-game series if it happens imho. And the East-top to bottom-is better imho.

First year going all in on hockey. Was die hard basketball but between the Pels and the NBA rigging the draft after the Luka trade I bounced until the Pels get it together.

Haven't watched a minute of NBA playoffs and the NHL playoffs have been 10x better than any NBA playoffs in recent memory. Man this has been good.

That goal by Mackinnon last night was just filthy. Kind of wanted the Wild to win simply to stretch the series out but man what a game and comeback.

Have a hard time seeing anyone beating the Canes though.

It plays a part of the environment in Ball Arena though. I’ve never once said “man, that was too much,” with the extended horn in the big moments. That includes games 1 and 2 of the SCF in ‘22.

It would be a hell of a series between Colorado and Carolina.

The Avs are undoubtedly deeper. Parker Kelly being a fourth liner and on a heater (as he’s been most of the season) is about as dangerous in hockey as it can get.

I’m still not sure what Wedgewood is taking that elevated his game to such a crazy good level this year, but his play makes the Avs MUCH better in net than Carolina.

Carolina is incredibly deep and has very similar goaltending situation to Colorado
Ultimately, they lack high end scoring power and have not faced a team with anywhere near the offensive capability of the ones they will face coming up

Montreal/Buffalo and Colorado (Vegas meh) can SCORE and they just haven't seen that yet and might have to keep up

Everyone focusing on Carolina for Colorado; I'm worried about Vegas they can and will give us problems. They're playing like the team they were supposed to be after sleepwalking through the season.

Same with me. I was a diehard basketball guy-then when the Nordiques my ex dragged me into watching hockey (go figure) and I've been a 30-year diehard. Hockey has an ETHIC which I relate to. The NBA has an ethic that repels me. I don't like to be a hater-but the game lost me decades ago-imho it peaked and has been downhill ever since-although it's an amazing sport. And I'm sure I'm missing out on some great stuff-you really just have so much time.

Also- if the Avs suck-I kind of tune out on watching every game like I have during Avs 1.0 and Avs 2.0.

I’m worried about them to an extent. We are also way more physical and deep than we’ve been with this core group. As long as we don’t let them dictate pace for a 7 game series 5-on-5, we win in 6/7.
