Oilers just look better. Panthers started off OT strong and needed to close it out there

That puck DriSadel (sp) scored on was bouncing and he still squared it up

Tough loss. It felt like McDavid was pretty neutralized most of the night though. Awful penalty to take in overtime.

Feels like every game is going to be tight and they just have better goal scoring chances

Sitting in the penalty box after the delay of game and watching the Oilers score in OT has to be one of the shittiest feelings ever.

ETA: Meant to say "Oilers"

That’s why he’s so good. It’s impossible to completely shut him down. The Panthers did a great job keeping him in check tonight, but he was still able to create two crucial scoring opportunities with two great assists late in the game. One tied it in the 3rd, and the other was the game winner.

Draisaitl being fully healthy is another problem. He seemed to get worse as the playoffs progressed last year. He was really ineffective on both ends of the ice in the final series.

Those two are capable of winning a game or two in a series by themselves. I can’t decide if that’s what happened tonight because Florida had a really good chance to steal game one, or if it’s a good omen for Florida.

Despite the Oilers two best players having big moments and combining for 4 points, the Panthers took them to overtime on the road, and nearly stole a game in Edmonton.
