Parkway gets no home playoff games this year. This is one of many sanctions that was handed down by the LHSAA for what happened last year during the 1st round game at Parkway. There are many threads on this topic so look them up for more info.

In 5-A, Central could very well beat WM.

The 11 seeds in 5A and 4A could easily win. My big upset pick though is 18 North Webster over 2 seed Caldwell in 3A.

Also, North Webster should be the home team in that game. Unless I missed something, they're the 18 seed so they should've traveled while Caldwell was home last week.

Riverside loosing puts Episcopal BR in a good position to make a run to the Dome. I would have to guess they would see Catholic NI after seeing them put 50 on Dunham.

Did not the see the Ouachita/Hahnville game going that way. Did Hahnville have the game of their life or Ouachita not show up?

Hahnville had a rough season this year. They lost several games late or in OT to some quality teams. Add on that injuries, most importantly they were missing the starting QB for most of the season. Apparently they were also missing an o-lineman and FB who were all finally back on the field last week. They ran for 301 yards on the night.

What the heck, Hahnville over Barbe. Barbe has Quinn and is the 8 seed, play in a great district. But not so fast my friend,(in Corso voice ) In 2003 Barbe beat SL at home, then came to Hahnville and lost (HHS won state that year). Forward ten years to today and Barbe beat SL at home and now travels to Hahnville......hmmmm could be a little deja vu? Also Barbe has lost both times they've come to Boutte.

(reaching for Tiger head to put on as Tiger Rag is playing ala Corso!)

In all honesty, I think Barbe is the better team and it will be a good game. Hope the folks have a safe trip over and a safe but unhappy one heading back though.
