Nobody taking Florida at -3.5

Most of this thread is on UF -3.

I'm on Miami +3, but it's not my favorite play this week.

I am on Florida -3. They had a stout defense against Toledo and they get a lot of starters back that were out of that game. I think their defense is elite and that they will win this game.

I concur. grabbed this line on monday

As far as Bowling Green/Kent st goes...

I really like Bowling Green. Held Tulsa to 7 points. Kent St only put up 17 on Liberty...Dri Archer left the game and didn't return with an ankle injury. Even if he plays this saturday I can't see his speed being that dominant with a bum ankle.

I actually don't mind this number. I'm not going to unload on it like the TCU game, but will certainly make a small play. LSU offense is going to rack up points and even when we put our backups in they will still score. Magee was our 4th RB option heading into the season and had 95 yards and 2 TDs against a good defense. Who is our 4th option this week? Jeremy Hill? Hilliard? Magee? We will still score by running the football in the 4th quarter of this game. Our defense really only allowed 13 points to TCU. They will improve. UAB can move the football, but can they get it in the end zone? UAB had one WR catch 190 yards out of 300 yards passing on the day for UAB in week 1. Jalen Mills is going to silence him.

I can see LSU scoring around 49-52 in this game with ease as I think they will have some big turnovers and a big special teams play. I can't see UAB scoring more than 14 points. FWIW, we racked up 63 against Idaho last year and UAB isn't light years better than Idaho is defensively, so I think 49-52 is pretty reasonable to expect.

They're favored even on their bye weeks...

I could see LSU/UAB 41-10 or something. I could also see UAB only down 1 TD at halftime. LSU could easily cover.

LSU is just that weird when they are a big favorite . LSU isn't great ATS after a win, either.

The win vs. TCU was obviously impressive, but we don't know how good TCU is yet.

Personally- I want no part of it, but I'm not inclined at all

Thing I was looking at was last weeks' games. Illinois was blown out by Sou. Ill. and Cinci won handedly against Purdue. Yet Cinci is only favored by 8 over Illinois. Same thing with Oregon State and Hawaii. Hawaii showed some good stuff against USC and Oregon State lost to FCS EWU. Yet Oregon State is favored by a whopping 27!

Does anyone see anything wrong with this or am I just overthinking it?

The Cinci line is egregious - they should be -17 minimum.

Illinois sucks.

Exactly. Why aren't they? And why has the spread gone down yet everybody loves them?

Tommy Tubberville can't decide who is going to be the teams QB. That, and playing on the road, are the only reasons I could think of the line only being -7.5

Also Mike Gundy names JW Walsh as starting QB and isn't doing anymore of that two QB system bullshite. Walsh brings more to the offense but they are still working in a new OC so I don't think they will be able to score as easy in the past. Staying away from that game.

I still like
SHSU +40
Cincinnati -7
Oregon -21
Toledo +17

Leaning on this one still need to do some research

SJSU +27
WSU +15

Plays this week:

2* Oregon -21.5
1* K State -10
1* Arizona -10 (bought hook)

You think K-State is being undervalued bc of their flop against an FCS school last week? I don't know much about them aside that Klein is gone.

ETA: Also, what are you thoughts on the total. I grabbed it at 60. Can't see the ducks not carrying this line almost by themselves.

I actually like betting rivalry games, but I see no value here.

Basically:
1. BG has a good team
2. Kent has one good player
