I want to see their ballot. I want to see who they voted for. Pretty ridiculous.

Respect to who did it.

There were voters dropping guys they had voted for in previous years to vote a Jeter only ballot. I have no problem with a guy using his vote to do something retarded as well.

they should change the system in this way. If you think player x is a hall of famer, it doesn’t make sense to not think he is a year or three later after he’s played 0 games with 0 stats.

If it takes 10 tries to vote a guy into the HoF are they actually Hall worthy?

Except that Ozzie Smith is the best defensive shortstop ever and put up offense in an offensively challenged era and ballpark. Omar Visquel was very good defensively and also held a bat in his hands sometimes.

Smith and Vizquel are the same damn player except Vizquel played the bulk of his career in a era when shortstops finally learned how to hit.

Ozzie Smith had a career OPS of .666. That's below league average for his time.

He did steal a lot of bases and rarely struck out, but he wasn't even league average at the plate.

Vizquel was pretty fricking comparable at the plate. A little more power, more strikeouts, also below league average.

Zero to do with on field performance.

I hate that.

Love him or hate him, Jeter is 100% HoF material. He was the epitome of consistency whether early season or crunch time. Was he ever the best? Probably not, but he was really solid for a long arse time, which counts for something. Throw in the rings and the postseason stats and you can't make an argument he isn't HoF worthy.

I hate the ballot shuffling shite. "Oh he should be in, but not this year. There's only one unanimous, nobody deserves that honor." You're either HoF worthy or not. In SOME years I could maybe understand leaving him off the ballot but show me 10 better players on this year's ballot.

Am I missing something here...Larry Walker?

Yes, you definitely are. Walker should've been in years ago. HOF numbers in the steroid era, but minus the steroids. And frick all that Coors Field bullshite. His WAR is 55 all time. The 'roid heads destroyed the baseline for clean players. That being said, Clemens and Bonds need to get in by year ten. They were both HOF before they juiced.

If mlb didn’t care or test for steroids and made billions off the HR surge then they shouldn’t be penalized. Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, palmeiro, manny, etc should all be in
