last night was a perfect example of what a dispicable, horrible player he is. what a goon. he can score all the goals he wants, but he still will never be mentioned amongst the greats season to season because of his cheap shots, terrible attitude, and overall arrogant and spiteful demeanor.

I disagree with everything said here. Simmonds is a stand up dude. "spiteful demeanor" haha wtf.

Probably one of my favorite players and I'm a Devils fan.

If by disbanded you mean fire McClellan then yes

Interesting factoid: aside from Scotty Bowman, no NHL coach since WWII has won a Stanley Cup with two teams. However, most Stanley Cup winning coaches had prior NHL head coaching experience. So it seems it is best to hire a guy, like Queenville for example, who was labelled a choker at his previous job. I'd stab a puppy for the Sharks to fire McClellan so the Caps could hire him.

Oh, and gif of the night:

but back to mcclellan, wtf where they doing on their power play last night? no adjustments whatsoever, they kept running it through the blue line and that just isn't going to work with our defense. they needed to run their power play deeper in the zone to create passing lanes and they just never did that. bad coaching

Bruins and Habs Game 1 tonight.

I will never forget the epic Finals last year with the Bruins and Hawks and my team is the hawks but my favorite player might be Patrice Bergeron and him playing through broken rips, a separated shoulder and a punctured lung.

Bergeron

No, you really don't have to love Bergeron.

As for last night, what are the Sharks supposed to do? Implement a new power play on the fly in Game 7? At this point, your system is your system. Don't change who you are ad hoc. But I hope McClellna gets scapegoated. Please fire him. Pretty please. With sugar on top.

I don't like or hate them just wondering why they are so despicable?

I hate them for those players you mentioned and Chara's big goon arse.

And I hate Boston sports regardless.

Because they goon it up, and there's no reason for it. The Bruins are one of the most talented, skilled teams in the league, but they seem to take perverse pride in having their players go out and try and injure people.

Also, their success is bad for the sport. The NHl, like every league, is a copycat league. Teams copycat the winners, and the Bruins winning means we get more clutching, grabbing, and interference at the blue line. It clogs up the game and there's no longer any space for guys with talent to operate. I want teams that actually use space, speed, and skill to win because teams will emulate that and we get a more beautiful game.

I'm not a fan of the Pens, but stylistically, it would be nice to have a team that put skill first to win. Maybe more teams would play like them. The Blackhawks are sort of the platonic ideal for a hockey team. Still physical, but beautiful puck movement and a stress on speed and skill.

So much for the Hockey News stating that these aren't your grandads' Sharks. Yes they fricking are.
