So why does he smoke but would not let his son play football?
There are things I do that I wouldn't want my sons to do.

Yep, not sure what SFP's angle was there.

When will Obama stop pushing his agenda on issues that he has no business doing?

Because he has just as much right to voice his opinion on this topic as you or me. Or do you just hate freedom of speech?

Isn't Obama a smoker?

What does this even mean?

I dislike Obama for the most part, but all he's comparing is the fact that the health effects of smoking are now common knowledge as are the health effects of concussions. If you do it, you know what you're getting into.

It's kind of cool to have presidents comment on things like the Super Bowl, March Madness, etc... but it always seems like he is doing just fine in those convos, then he makes one statement that probably needed to be left off.

“These guys, they know what they’re doing. They know what they’re buying into. It is no longer a secret. It’s sort of the feeling I have about smokers, you know?”

Spot on. Using NFL player logic, everyone should be able to sue tobacco companies for negative health effects caused by smoking.

But yet he is for abortion.

And it's not the same as smokers. It's the same thing as people who dip. Smokers harm other people. Concussions only harm you directly. Also, if his son is 20-22 I bet he would laugh in his face if he was good enough to play in the NFL

His son would be a soft liberal pussy like him, and who gives a shite

He feels the need to insert his beliefs on every issue like his word is gospel, from weather to football. I hate that POS!

Good god. Obama is saying he'd want to protect his son from something he views as harmful. Any parent that smokes, if you asked them if they want their kids to smoke, they would say no. It's not because they are hypocrites, its because they want their kids to lead.better lives and avoid their mistakes. "Just quit then" is not the answer to every question. It's very obtuse and black and white when human behavior is anything but.
