b/c Oakland isn't stupid enough to fund a bunch of stadiums for billionaires.

pretty much the only reason they are leaving Oakland.

Damn, Oakland had all 3 major sport teams 3 years ago, and they’re about to have none.
Couldn’t have happened to a bigger shithole. Have never exited the freeway in Oakland a single time, and never will.

"Vegas is taking the A's because Vegas is racist" - the soon to be launched narrative.

I wonder what the A’s will do with the new minor league park they just built in LV.

Also I hope NOLA is paying attention and tries to get the Vegas minor league team

More updates on site location:

quote:

NBC Las Vegas - The Oakland Athletics have visited Las Vegas multiple times and have seen multiple stadium sites.

If Wednesday's new report is true, they're after one of the most famous corners in the city.

The report, from our partners at CNBC, says the team has made an offer on the property where the Tropicana stands: 35 acres at the corner of Tropicana and the Strip, home to one of Las Vegas' last legacy resorts.

quote:

If the ballpark ends up at the Tropicana site, it would add to an already robust offering of event spaces on the south portion of the resort corridor. The possible 30,000-35,000-seat stadium would be located within walking distance of Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, the MGM Grand Garden arena and Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay hotel-casino.

NOLA only even still has the Saints b/c when they were thinking of moving Katrina hit and they didn't want to deal the the public backlash for "abandoning" the city.

The Pels are still there b/c George Shinn was trying to repair his reputation after the all horseshite he pulled in Charlotte.

That is just god-awful grammar. Don’t end a sentence with a preposition.

It's really the only reason any team leaves it's city in the modern era of sports. But go ahead and keep your big brain energy in politard land if it makes your pee pee feel big.
