UGA can't be undefeated heading into the SEC championship game.

Why not? This is ND bud, they're not getting left out if they're undefeated.

One or no losses, and they’re in

If they lose, they're going to need help, and maybe a lot of it. They'd likely be sitting behind several other one-loss teams.

Clemson is the team with the SOS problem; NC State who is pretty good is it. They don't even play VPI or Miami. Notre Dame already has bagged wins against 2 teams better than any team Clemson will play.

It would depend to whom we lost, how, and the 1 loss teams against which we’d be competing. We’d probably get the nod over a 1 loss Clemson, as an example. I think the only teams definitively ahead of us with 1 loss would be Alabama, Ohio State, and maybe LSU.

Still way too early to be playing that game, though. It would help us if Michigan, Stanford, VT, and Syracuse keep winning.

Right. So like I said, y'all will need help if you lose.

Four undefeated power conference teams hasn’t happened since, what, the 1980’s? Longer?

Agree it's very unlikely, but looking at the remaining schedules for Bama, Clemson, Ohio St and OU and you have to admit it's possible.

The reality is ND will probably have 1 loss and will be in a beauty pageant with a few other 1 loss teams. But it's pointless to debate all the different scenarios this early. Whole lotta football to be played.

After seeing that game, I contended they should make a sequel to Rudy.

Rudy's little brother (we will call him Ralphy) goes through some similar inspirational hard knocks story. Fast forward to champ game between ND and Bama. Bama goes up early. Ralphy gets ready to go in, we see flashbacks of Rudy giving him brotherly advice. Lots of metaphysical bullshite and what not.

Ralphy goes into the game. First play a Bama player literally rips his head clean off. Blood showers onto fellow Notre Dame players. The dismembered head flies onto the sideline, landing right into Rudy's hands. Big fking smile on his face.

THE END

So youre saying we could see the sequel?

I wonder if they’ll rank them 3rd to keep them away from Alabama.

They won’t be 1 or 4, so if they are 2 or 3 won’t matter.

Why wouldn’t they be third?
