That’s going to cost some markets some money. And a trend CFB will NOT want to see take off.
College sports brought this upon themselves
It's nothing but spoiled NIL mercenaries who have no pride for their school because they only care about where they can get their next NIL paycheck and play for 4 different schools in 4 seasons. They don't even go to class and have no care for the academic side of things
College Football should just be renamed the Price is Right because thats what most of these players are actually playing

Bowl games are on borrowed time.
Might as well let eligible teams negotiate their own exhibition matchup

frick them.
Should have done that in 1969.

fricked up for the players. Everyone who has played football would give anything to strap on the pads again.

Had we stayed with 4 there would be very little controversy Exactly 4 teams with 12+ wins (excluding James Madison).

I think they got fricked but this is a pathetic reaction and will make it even less likely the committee takes them as an independent.

That's a pussy thing to do.
ETA: After further consideration, Notre Dame is correct to skip a bowl game that only exists to benefit the same system that fricked them over.

South Bend is melting today

The entitlement from those pussies is unfathomable. Lose your two toughest games and don't bother to play in a conference like everyone else
Kick rocks. In shame on the players and their coach for not wanting to finish what they started. Ew man

This was always going to happen, the moment the playoff became reality

Idk they will always be able to go down the line far enough to find teams that want to play, even if those teams are 5-7.
Notre Dame vs Texas is a huge matchup without being the playoffs.
No one gives a shite if Auburn sneaks into a game.

3 P4 teams have already opted out of bowls

Paying players, allowing transfers, big playoffs. They've all been a disaster for the essence of college football.
We aren't that far away from seeing players opt out of playoff games, mid season trades or players jumping to a different team mid season, and eligibility caps being removed
