You shouldn’t have to be turned around if you barely touch the guy and don’t interfere with his ability to catch the ball.
The call is PASS INTERFERENCE.
The only thing that interfered with the receiver catching the ball was the poor throw.

im so beyond sick of PI on balls that are underthrown by 5-10 yards. a back shoulder throw is one thing, but these underthrown deep shots are different and they get called so frequently that im not sure why you shouldnt just do it every play

The call was in no way correct, you do not have to turn around, he did not impede the receiver because the receiver was moving the opposite direction and making no effort to get back to the ball

Ball had no path to that receiver. Wasn't a freaking takedown or nothing and he threw it in double coverage. The umpire was the one that threw the flag as he was talking to the white hat. Nobody in the actual area of coverage called it. Refs know that's horseshite

I agree, but the refs have been letting a lot go with regard to holding (both ways, not just on the Penn St TD drive) and in pass defense so that was one they could have let go and most wouldn't have batted an eye.
