Kansas is just so tough to beat in that place. They are 87-4 at home in conference play since 2005.

After the missed free throw in regulation, it felt like no matter what OU did, KU was going to find a way to win. Self is so damn good in those situations.

I know a lot of people don't like Musberger, but he called a great game tonight. Dickie V was tolerable but those were the right guys calling the game.

Side note: Can you imagine Gus Johnson calling this game?

That other little OU guard hit a lot of big shots too.

Kansas is very good on offense, and very good on defense. Oklahoma just hit a lot of shots tonight. The OU shot making was an anomaly, but honestly not a huge one. They are just really good and that's what they do.

Spangler played like crap. Probably injured some. He's important too.

Wouldn't be surprised to see both of these teams make a run to the Final Four. I want to say I really think OU will advance farther in March (because they have the best player and playmakers), but Kansas is coached way better and that could be the equalizer.

Kansas will win the conference I think. But Oklahoma will likely win at home. Gonna be interesting.

27 of 55 on threes by both teams combined!

KU 11 of 22
OU 16 of 33

That is the scoring equivalent of 73.6% shooting from 2-pt range.

Would immediately move to the greatest game ever called.

Woodard is a beast, I didn't Spangler was that bad. He looked absolutely done by the third OT though. He played 51 minutes

The KU demographic is very much one that appreciates a great player/performance and understands the game of basketball. It really is fun and games and they treat it as such. AFH would probably be one of the most comfortable places to watch a game like that as an opposing fan...as long as you're not a Mizzou fan of course.

He really was. Extremely gracious in defeat. Props to that young man.

Yeah did you watch the end of regulation where ou got three gifts? Or the end of the half where they got another? Referee talk is lost on me this game. Don't think Kansas got anything there.

Oklahoma is great but they don't come close without an A+ performance from buddy. Nothing about that is wrong. They get that from him very often. Kansas needed its best guys as well but Oklahoma relies on hield more than Kansas relies on anyone. Woodard played awesome as well. And then cousins was bad and Spangler was ok. I like Oklahoma and assume they will win at home. I also assume Kansas will hold serve and win the conference now that they came out of this one alive. I think all of that is fair.

That was a great game. Not even mad we lost because we proved how good of a team we are. Should be a fun big 12 season

I agree with all of that. Oklahoma has the best player by far but I think Kansas has the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best players in selden, mason, and Ellis. Woodard is somewhere in there and then probably Spangler. What that means for march, I'm not sure. Buddy can get Oklahoma to the sweet 16 by himself. After that, I tend to lean Kansas for the reasons you mention along with depth and the fact that I like Kansas and it's close enough for that to sway me

OU is gonna have to work hard to avoid a letdown. They won't play a bigger game until at least the Big XII tournament title game. It can be tough puttin so much energy into a game this big this early in the season, win or lose. Especially when everyone else is gonna throw their best effort at then.

Kansas is used to being the target and getting everyone's best game.

Kansas at home will be similar, no? Iowa state on the road as well. It's a three team race and all 6 of those games are monstrous

I hope OU can make a deep run in the tourney. A really fun team to watch.

Unfortunately the season long hype around the Big 12 regular season has led to disappointment for the conference in recent years.

The Baylor game will be next big test, played isu and KU to open is murder.

Texas may give them a struggle in the Erwin Special Events.

That Gabe probably won't have the hype of this one unless they stay 1 and 2, and they already beat ISU.
