Let's remember this after Jones goes apeshit on the next player and does worse.

Goodell is completely out of this league.

s he saying Cooper punched him in the throat? I don't believe that for a second.

So Amari Cooper is a " Dindu" ? I'm trying to understand this popular term around here anyway.

Cooper is a physical player who says it was just football.

Cooper says he did not know his head was hit .

3 Refs .

And the "High Sheriff" ( Gooddell) that people thought the League needed says move on.

Cooper was unfazed, 3 refs standing on the field & the League all agree with me that this was a run of the mill NFL scrum( 15 yard face mask penalty).

How dense do you have to be to not realize that none of that is relevant to what Jones did, and that the NFL is very often incompetent with their so-called "justice?"

Like in the other thread, i ask you to provide me with a similar example to what Jones did, if it was such a "run-of-the-mill NFL scrum?"

Cooper doesn't think Jones should be suspended.

Jones gets 35K fine. TPOS responds:

quote:

He was fined $35K for slamming Amari Cooper's head into his helmet Sunday. Today, he said, "Way too much for a football play. I'll appeal. ... The story is magnified because it's me. I can't promise it won't happen again. I'm an emotional player."

If I were the interviewer I would have stated "I've never seen a "football play" that consisted of ripping someones helmet off and then bashing their head on the helmet."

The interviewer should ask Amari Cooper the same since he said it was football & no big deal. Cooper says he did not know his head actually touched the helmet.

A $35k is far smaller than hits to the head of receivers etc, ..

Some people claim they did not know PacMan was still in the League which proves the point of the media/ fans propensity to hype up perceived negative behavior & ignore the positive.

Jones last got a$15ka fine in 2012 for a horse collar tackle. Jones seems to be a knucklehead ,but he has managed to keep out of trouble.

Keep out of trouble like 98% of the players in the League who simply do their jobs with no issue. That's boring however.

Media & fans seem to focus on the small negatives & ignore the guys doing the right thing day after day.

You're right .

1)The 3 Refs agreeing & not ejecting PacMan.

2) Amari Cooper saying its football . Did not even realize his head bumped the helmet.

3) PacMan getting a smaller fine for this than targeting hits by other players

Your acquiescence is accepted.

This was no big deal.
