People do outlandish shite when they are angry right? All it takes is one girl to think you are this "different guy" and will stick around. Meanwhile your intentions are to "hit it and leave". It doesn't take much to accuse someone of rape. Anger, jealously, denial... People do crazy shite man.

Another thing that's frightening is that females can and will convince themselves after the fact (i.e. after having consensual sex) that they were raped.

I stumbled upon this blog post some time ago, and I have no idea how, but I made sure to bookmark it as it was one of the most shocking, appalling things I'd ever read. It's reasonably long, but if you have a second, give it a read.

Here is the 411:
1. Girl goes with dude to back alley and has consensual sex with dude.
2. Girl gives dude her number afterwards.
3. Dude walks with girl to get her a cab, says he'll call her later as she gets in.

20 years later, girl writes about a blog post about how dude raped her. Read it, and let me know if she got raped.

How I became a rape victim

I feel like those cases get thrown out pretty consistently. It's an irrational fear to have IMO.

But that's not true, dude.

Or maybe it's true if you define "bad choices in partners" as girls who falsely accuse you of rape after having consensual sex with you.

Get thrown out based on what?

If a girl sticks to her story, and presses charges, you fuuudged.

ETA: Unless you take my recommended preventative steps:
1. make her put the rubber on you.
2. film it.
3. buy the girl breakfast the next morning.
4. get a confirmation text (text a girl after you've banged her saying you had fun hanging out with her. She'll text back. You're gold.)

This is taking place in Florida, so you know that the entire process has, and will, be botched and ridiculed by rest of nation.

I define it as one night stands. If you actually date women then you don't have much to worry about. Even if they try to cry rape after you break up nobody will believe her. It's amazing the insecurity with women a lot of you have. Let's be honest that's what drives you to worry about this.

Completely false. People will believe her. And the accusation is all it takes for an arrest to take place.

And lack of evidence will exonerate you... Seriously the insecurity and mistrust of women is astounding in this thread.

Yep. It's already so fricked up. Can't wait to see how it will be mishandled from this point forward.

I also define a one night stand as a bad decision, for multiple reasons. But I still realize I'm not invincible to something crazy as frick happening

I get where both of you are coming from. It's like just about everything else, you can try to reduce your chances but there is always a chance someone could get you at the right place and right time.

At least thats what his lawyer will be saying "in so many words"

The "Not Guily...he is innocent version"

Met some girl, sold her a few dreams. Closed the deal, put it on her (not rape, but rough sex) "however, it wasnt the making love she expected" Once he was done. He was about getting her the hell out of there before his girl was in town. Especially if it took place in his room. Otherwise she was going to want to stay the night. Pissed off girl...feels she was done wrong...goes to the cops.

Or

He really wanted some arse before his girl got in town. He then raped her.

Its an either or deal imo. Either he raped her or he just ran a game on her/she couldnt handle the sex,etc

Hopefully the truth will come out.

Bad choice of partners? Wtf? I don't know about you, but when I hooked up with random women I didn't know a lot about them. These are football players at big time universities. They can literally have sex with a different OT7 on a nightly basis.

You're saying they should do their due diligence before hooking up with a chick? Come on, now.

This has been a great discussion though. A lot of interesting thoughts presented in this thread on both sides.

Here's to the truth coming out

I don't get the connection between one night stands and being insecure with women. You'll have to explain that part.

But I'll respond to your point by simply noting that one night stands are pefectly legal. Girls like sex just as much as guys. Joe meets Sally at a club. There is a mutual attraction. They dance and flirt for a few hours, and end up going back to Joe's apaartment and having sex. Again, perfectly legal. Happens all the time.

Now if the next day Sally texts Joe 45 times in 3 minutes, Joe recogizes that Sally is crazy and deletes her number, this doesn't give Sally the right to accuse Joe of raping her. But I'm telling you, this scenario happens.

"The attorney for Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has told the Tallahassee Democrat that his client voluntarily submitted to a DNA test in connection with a Dec. 7, 2012, sexual-assault complaint.

Tim Jansen, a Tallahassee attorney representing Winston, did not say when the DNA test occurred or what the results were. He said he had not seen a copy of the DNA report.

He said the results would not impact his defense strategy or contradict witness testimony. The test results, he said, would be "consistent with our position from Day One."
