Jansen's story just doesn't add up. If she was mad at Winston for not staying and going to his girlfriend's she would have ID'd him from the start.

True, but even if he gets out of this, Winston is no perfect dude- shooting out windows with BB gun & stealing drink at store.
oh the horror!!!

To me its an either or deal.

Either she's telling the truth or Jameis is.

Either she was raped or she wasnt.

Either she really couldnt identify her attacker that night or despite 2 other people being there (besides Jameis)...she had no clue who raped her and what the names were.

Its up to Meggs to find out whats true.

Also..

For the conspiracy theorists. As an LSU fan...

Do I really think Baton Rouge cops (who happen to be LSU fans) would really let Ryan Perriloux get off on a potential rape case? Thats essentially what people are implying with this cover up talk. Its like saying a RS Ryan P. who we dont know how good or bad he can be......the entire police department wants to cover up his deeds. I dont buy that.

I dont buy it at FSU. This isnt saying something didnt happen. But that doesnt mean it was covered up.

And do people realize how BURNED FSU was on "top ranked QB recruits?"

Who was the last top ranked QB to pan out? EJ Manuel? And FSU fans were mixed on him. For the most part they've had Adrian McPherson's, Xavier Lee's, Dan Kendra's etc etc.

There was no guarantee Winston was going to be this great player. Hell, people thought he might not ever play over Coker a year ago.

I guess this would be a knock on FSU fans. Because I was surprised at how much they dismissed Winston for Coker (as the QBOTF)

You are implying Baton Rouge is as small and Tallahassee, this is just untrue. With a bigger city/more attraction area the possibility of this is still there but lessened. With a town/city which has a strong identification with the university (basically it is represented by it nationally) then the chances increase because for those people it is an identity. Want an example? College football in Miami is not the same as in Auburn or Tuscaloosa.

That why what you stated is a bad comparison. There is much more to BR than LSU, while with Tallahassee, even though it is the state's capital it is basically FSU city.

Let me answer that question for my own team. Do I think a police officer would do that for just any player on Alabama? No. Do I think a police officer would to that for a big time 5-star two sport recruit after being notified of his value by those in charge? Yes. If you don't think these guys were informed on who this kid was you're kidding yourself and have never actually been on the inside of these things.

Why do I say this? I know personally this happens because I have personally been a benefactor.

We'll find out in time.

Actually, you are wrong. BR and Tally are about as comparable as two college towns can be. Both have major universities, both are the actual state capitals, and BR with a 2010 population of 229,000 and Tally with a 2010 population of 181,000

You can't truly believe this. Baton Rouge is a big tourist attraction and has far more to it than it being the capital and LSU. Tallahassee is basically FSU... oh and the capital (some don't even know that).

Unreal how big of an idiot you are. I have been from BR all my life and have never seen one freaking tourist. BR is LSU. Period.

Note to everyone in this thread: assume everything said by ystar is completely wrong. Unless you believe people have to chose between Rome, New York, or Baton Rouge for their vacations

That's surprising.

Having simply been to both cities, Baton Rouge strikes me as a lot larger.

I'd guess it has twice the metro area population of Tallahassee.

Agree that the only tourists either city would attract are maybe a handful of people touring college campuses.
