Why do all people assume that’s the only shoe new balance puts out?

3 of Nike’s top sellers:

The ‘sacrificing everything’ part is what really makes me at Nike and Colin for that matter.

don’t see how this is still a thing? Kapernick has turned down offers from NFL teams. The dude WANTS to be unemployed by the NFL so he can continue racking up millions more than he would playing by doing things like this

But of course the fact he could actually make an NFL roster but refuses to do so is swept under the rug

I disagree, I don't think Kap could make an NFL roster. That's why this whole ad campaign is so dishonest. It implies Kap gave up his career over his kneeling beliefs. The reality is that Kap was done and on his way out as an NFL QB and his kneeling kept him around and in the public conscience longer. It's the only reason we're still talking about this guy.

that’d be as equally ignorant, if not more ignorant, than the people you are eluding to as ignorant for boycotting Nike.

Not as ignorant as you assuming you have more information than Nike as to who is buying their products.

You think they just fired this thing off without any market research?...

The NFL is bigger than Nike..... The NFL can easily switch to another uniform/gear provider.

I disagree. I think he could make it as a backup. However, if he accepts a contract, it kind of destroys his story.

where did i say i had the market research? or that this was a poor financial or marketing decision by Nike?

I was just calling out one dumbass poster for making a dumbass blanket statement, much like i'm doing right now...

:insert rotflmao emote to attempt to legitimize my poorly made rebuttal:

so are you saying that you hold the opinion of a few silly posters on the MSB in high enough regards to blanket said opinion over a large portion of this country?

your weak and misleading points confuse me.

Well, Nike has direct competitors that pretty much fill the exact same need for their consumer

True, and they’ll take a hit initially I’m sure. But the faux outrage will pass and it’ll be BAU.

A lot easier to boycott that then the nfl that has no true competitor

Not wait just a damn minute, pal!

Nike can do whatever they want and I won't "boycott" something over an ad, but Kaepernick is a hypocrite and I'm surprised they took a stance on such a divisive issue. Cap wore socks depicting cops as pigs, praised Fidel Castro and his girlfriend took a shot at the Raven's owner on twitter when they were discussing signing him. Let's not act like this guy is getting treated unfairly. He's done a lot of this damage to himself, aside from anthem protests.

exactly. Damone knew what he was doing when he released his memo at google and Kap knew what he was doing when he started his kneeling. don't fault either one of them for it, but i laugh that they think they're any sort of martyr.

if i put a racist post on my instagram/twitter/whatever right now, i would 100% expect to be fired and wouldn't fault my boss one iota.
