Colorado goalies are number one and number five in the league in goals against average. With three minutes left in the second period they have combined to give up six goals in fourteen shots against the Penguins with no Crosby.

Not their fault except for maybe 2.
Guys in front of them have left them out to dry in ways I haven’t seen out of a Colorado team in a long time.

I love me some Bednar, but I HATE how he’s so comfortable sitting with a 11/7 for long stretches. Especially when we do have significant depth with the Eagles who can contribute to go back 12/6.

Getting our asses kicked tonight. We’ve had a total of 7 shots these last 1.5 periods.

Bednar needs to recall someone from the Eagles for Wednesday if Colton/LOC/Landy/Lehky aren’t good to go. Those four out at the same time just made me puke a bit.

And this deserves its own post - Hextall needs to be fired like a month ago.

I like how the coach said Draisaitl "wasn't going to be out for long"

Biggest game of the regular season in a couple of hours. Avalanche are close to getting our wingers back (LOC seeming imminent, which is MASSIVE).

A regulation win here without further injury and just have to navigate the 4 game road trip.

I get tacky calls and complaints, but how do refs miss a clear double minor on a high sticking 10 feet away from them against Malinski?

This Avs v Stars game is ridiculous. This is beyond playoff level intensity since it's one game. The puck is moving so fast it's crazy.

Honestly, it's USA v Canada gold medal game level.

Agree

And yet AT BEST they will meet in the second round due to the NHL's absolutely stupid playoff structure.

These are the two best teams in the league - and both not at full strength tonight either

Go Avs! Couldn’t make it to tonight’s game. Went a couple Sundays ago when the Wild were in town, awesome shootout win with Nate getting the game winner. Had friends & family seats from Brent Burns, sat with his wife Susan and their kids in the friends and family section. After the game she gave us wristbands to go down into the tunnel and wait outside the Avs locker room door to meet him and some of the players. Got a souvenir hockey stick signed by Landy, Brent, and Cale for our 3 year old son.

Game of the Year, that I've seen.

Don't count the Wild out.

Dallas v Minnesota should not be a first round game. But I do like the rivalry aspect of it.

To hoist the Cup you've got to beat them all, no matter what round.

Stars win in shootout.

The shootout doesn't matter. Big heavyweight tilt. It was a tie. Would have loved to see them go all night.

The Stars are absolutely surging while the Avs are sputtering. Not good. One of these teams is your Cup winner.
