This is per Chatgpt.

There hasn't been opposing starting quarterbacks in a Superbowl from the same college. But there has been 3 games where the starting qb's have come from the same conference. Any guesses, only using Google as a last resort.

Mahomes-Purdy is one instantly.

Trying to think if Brady faced one or two B1G QBs ever…

I presume this means same conference at the time of the kickoff and not where particular teams are today. For instance in Super Bowl VII, Miami's Griese attended Purdue, Big 10 and Washington's Kilmer attended UCLA, Big 10 NOW,but Pac "8" then.

There's no way it hasn't happened before those ones. ChatGPT fail.

So here are the 3 the 1st time I ran it through

Super Bowl XLIX: Tom Brady — Michigan vs. Russell Wilson — Wisconsin (both Big Ten schools).
Super Bowl 50: Peyton Manning — Tennessee vs. Cam Newton — Auburn (both SEC schools).
Super Bowl XIX: Joe Montana — Notre Dame vs. Dan Marino — Pittsburgh.

ND is an independent in football, so the Montana-Marino is wrong.

It also missed Burrow (LSU) - Stafford (UGA)

I was thinking the same thing. Doesn’t sound all that uncommon on first thought.
