Take MNF out, and CBS was still up.

CBS's pregame show ratings were up, ratings for the games themselves were down.

Gotcha. That makes sense.

From the link I just read, it said the pre-game shows were up big. 1% decrease in the national CBS broadcast.

The ratings are down for the year overall and the next few weeks will be a better test (after all the hoopla does down).

Everyone was watching so they could see the Cowboys really be "Americas team". Many were left disappointed.

Again, now that each side has taken its stand, the random people that tuned in just to see if people would kneel that aren't casual fans wont be coming back. Also, I think more people will stop watching as the season goes on if these demonstrations continue.

In the end, let them think its over and they survived the consequences of this mess.

yesterday when the ratings were down these idiots were claiming immediate victory, now that they don't agree with the numbers "its well you just and wait see, its happening"

My favorite is that people tuned in just to see what would happen, since that's how boycotts work

Ratings were up from last year (Presidential Debates). Down 4% from 2015.

Last year, people were mocked for using the Election as an excuse for the decrease in ratings.

Now it's a valid excuse.

Most people were saying the next few weeks would tell the real story.

The Saints were playing on that MNF last year. No wonder the ratings were so low.

Of course ratings went up. It was the biggest issue in the country the last week and the league was top-of-mind. That "trumps" any boycott for now anyway.

Hey Ostrich! They didn't play on Thursday. Ratings were up 30%.

Pretty much everyone predicted that.

My post on Sunday:

Ratings will be up. People tuning in to see what the players were going to do.

They will tank next week.
