Was a backup QB at Auburn, and led the CFL in passing for four years with the Blue Bombers.
Came back to the NFL and started 7-0 for the Rams, but then got his knee wrecked….

Elway had a heater

Elway is known for “the Elway cross,” and Gilmore confirms that it is all too real. Due to the aforementioned broken fingers, when given a choice between catching an Elway pass with their hands or their chest, his college receivers opted to use their chest.
While that may have protected the players’ digits, it left a mark — literally. When Elway threw the ball, he threw it so hard that the seams on the point of the ball would leave the imprint of a cross on the receiver’s chest. That cross became known as “the Elway cross.”

George has the smoothest release of alltime

“Bullets” are quick passes shoved into small windows. Elway was the leader of this. Moon was more about throwing beautiful deep balls with huge arcs.

Newton until the injuries caught up with him.
People will call me a homer, but Brady after his first few years in the league threw absolute lasers. Those 20 yard seam passes to Gronk never never super high off the ground.

Dude threw more wobbly ducks than any other QB with a sustained career in the last 20 years.

Fall camp his rookie year his receivers continually complained about the velocity of his throws and dropping passes. Dan Reeves simple solution: "How bout you catch the ball next time"

This won’t count but Ryan Perrilloux

It’s like you’ve never heard of Peyton manning.
Honestly, not sure which take of yours is worse in this thread between this and the Brady offering.

Post injury Peyton doesn't count, nor does Pennington. McNabb threw such an ugly ball.
Brady's deep ball was mediocre, his intermediate to deep intermediate was elite.

Dan Marino threw passes like they were shot of the juggs machine.

I had a book when I was younger that was written by a guy at sports illustrated. the strongest arm category was in the book and number one was a guy from a long arse time ago that nobody has ever heard of. the only reason he was number one was that there were people like John Madden and others who watched him throw when they were assistant coaches or players that saw him throw the ball 100 yards.
I think his name was Rudy something but that could be wrong. they had old videos that showed him throw 100 yards ,this was in the 50s or early 60s I think. it was when video first came out really. he may not have even been a starter
