Matt Jones is a good one. 6'6" 237 and ran a 4.37. Couldn't lay off the yay
Yeah but he could have been a fantastic player had he not let his personal vices get the best of him.

Tony Freaking Mandarich is the best example.

pretty much any LB Jim Haslett ever drafted was a workout warrior

Taylor Mays
I remember him being a 98 or 99 on one of the NCAA games then barely heard his name in the NFL.

There's a reason his own coach passed on him. He was an incredible athlete, but he wasn't a good football player. He could lay the big hit but was horrible at coverage.

Didn't bb say the combine is mainly for interviews and 1v1, that they had enough game tape to make a solid decision on potential.

I was always amazed watching Matt Jones run. Dude was a beast.

Taylor Mays got passed up for Earl Thomas. Seems like a great decision by Pete Carrroll.

DT that went to the bengals many years ago ... Cory? ... 280 with a 4.6 40 ...

I thought Mays was the opposite. Great football mind and a great player but a below average athlete.
ETA: you would know more than I would but I could have sworn his undoing was that he wasn't very gifted athletically.
ETA 2: Nm. I was thinking of FSU's Myron Rolle.

Amobi Okoye. Youngest guy ever taken in the 1st round, at 19.

He wasn't a bust but he still didn't really live up to being the #1 overall pick though.

Darius Heyward-Bey is the first to come to mind. Although he wasn't a complete bust.

Bruce Campbell 6'6" 314 lb OT from Maryland Ran a 4.85 and did 34 bench reps. Raiders drafted him in the top 10 and he plays for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders now.
Bruce Campbell was actually drafted in the 4th round (106th pick overall). While he may not have lived up to his athletic potential, I don't think you can really consider anyone who was drafted in the 4th round and who is still playing professional football six years later as a bust worth mentioning in this thread.

I was going to say acrchuleta until I googled it and saw he actually did better than I thought he did.
