Oklahoma. Oregon runs scores high and has no defense they get beat every time they take on a big opponent. Playoffs pretty much eliminated their shot. Oklahoma recruits big boys. Weaker conference but they have the best shot to be next.

Have you watched Oregon and Oklahoma play in the last 10 years?

If they can keep Cristobal I think this is the right answer.

Oregon or Oklahoma. Both need to concentrate on really upgrading their defenses. It could be done

True, but saying that Oklahoma would win a Natty first because Oregon is soft on defense is just hypocritical.

What I’m saying is the both programs could win a national title if they really improved on defense. Of those two I’d say Oklahoma would have the best shot.

Oregon has perhaps the best defensive lineman in the country

And I think PFF rated its secondary the best returning unit in the country

ETA: and orgeron signed two 5-star linebackers last recruiting cycle

Oregon’s issue under cristobal isn’t defense. It’s the exact opposite.

USC or Texas if they ever get their shite together. Oklahoma if they find a defense. I guess Oregon is the most equipped right now.

Oregon is recruiting very well. PSU will have a chance. Texas will always have all that talent in their backyard. USC will be back, once we hire Urban.

Utah has been solid and is churning out NFL players. They keep lurking in contention for the playoffs every year..

Talk about good fortune. Taggart leaving that program after one year was fortunate.
