Cam is at the elite level already and is the most dangerous player in football.

He should be, he's 27.

I'll take youth for sure when talking 5 year windows.

Also don't want a scrambling QB for 5 years due to higher injury potential.

Did I speak too soon about cam getting injured. It was only a matter of time.

So he should be able to remain elite for 5 years, no potential needed. Hell, Rodgers is older and is easily a bet than Carr.

I'll take someone who can be elite for all 5 years

Can't be elite if you're injured.

Can't be elite if you're not elite

Give me Rodgers over anyone, and that may be ever

You should take 5 years of prime over a guy still developing all else equal.

How do we know Carr won't get injured?

I like Carr a lot, but it would be hard to put him ahead of Rodgers, Wilson, Newton for the next 5 years. I also think Luck will have a bounce back season.

You don't, playing the statistics game there. Scrambling/running QB's are more susceptible to injuries.

And I didn't say I would take Carr, I said it depends on this years development which is impossible to know until the end of the season.

The Raiders could easily be a playoff team this year or win the West, or they could go 8-8 and miss it all and it will largely all depend on Carr's development.

I'd probably take Rodgers if talking this current season and on.

That isn't what you said, but that is much more reasonable
