Play together isn’t a solution. I asked you to give us a solution. Forcing everyone back into the old system doesn’t eliminate the problems.

99% of players that leave their districts in louisiana to attend private schools are for a better education and environment, and they pay full price. The free tuition for athletes happens, but it has been made a fake bogey man far larger that it really is. And guess what, the private schools are still competing against those same few schools that abuse the rules(publics abuse these rules as well) If the public schools that were losing students to private schools focused more on improving their academics and school, they wouldnt have to worry so much about losing at football.......

Hard to disagree with that. Good luck if you are private school right next to Zachary High.

We will play together, and every year no matter what we will hand ponchatoula a trophy. Does that work? Ultimately that is all that will make you happy

Sorry man you got here about 10-15 years too late. La football mid 90s- mid 2000s was at its peak. Candy arse principles, parents with loser mentalities, and crooked programs have rendered the LHSAA down to an unglorified AAU league where everybody wins

Dude that isn't even on my radar. We had our one and probably only chance at a modern day state championship in 2014 and we didn't get it done.

My issue and the issue for most is that public and privates were competing against each other but public schools have a set of rules they must follow and the privates can pretty much do whatever they want.

I am baffled as to how you cannot understand this. I don't care what the rules say, just make them fair for everyone public and private.

Not only that, we were one of the greatest teams to not win the state title. We would’ve won the title most other years.

You are an adult and want to start following high school football? A game played by 14-18 year olds?

That’s not weird at all

Ill give you one.
1.You multiply private enrollments by 1.5 so many would be playing up a class,
2.you allow anyone to play up voluntarily but they must play all the way up in 5A
3. If any school wins 2 state championships in a 4 year period they must move up one class for the next 4 years.

Also as far as your other post what percentage of private schools recruit for athletics? tuition covered or not
What percentage of public schools?

Look I am a proud Ponchatoula Alum, and I would love to some day see them win a title. Hell I would be happy just to get to the Dome. But I am not going to say they were one of the best to not win state because there is no way to prove it. If I say that someone will say well you lost in the 2nd round how can you be among the best? Would they have won most other years? no way of knowing. It is just a shame they didn't figure out how to handle that Acadiana quick snap veer a year earlier.

Why not just closely monitor public schools and punish any and all violations

If privates want to play with publics make them play with most the rules that publics deal with.

No way of knowing but I would guess it isn't very high, but I think it would be easy figure out most of the schools that are doing it.

I assume your saying what percentage of privates are paying tuition for recruits. No idea but I see no problem with a private school recruiting a player if the family is paying for the schooling. That is why I have been saying that private schools should be forced to open up their records when a player transfers and show who is paying for it. What percentage of any of these schools are recruiting is hard to say but it should be easy to figure out who most of the schools are.
