What a shock, it’s everyone else’s fault. No wonder he ended up a bust despite all that talent.

I like how at the end he qualified that it was “sort of” or kind of his fault he flamed out.

To be fair, he just didn’t have what it took to succeed in the NFL. Maybe it’s the years but I don’t remember the draft hype around VY that the show tried to depict. I remember Leinart and Cutler being described as more of a sure thing. I don’t even remember the Saints considering VY before the Brees signing in March 2006.

The signs are all there even while he’s blaming everyone and everything. The gratuitous F bombs, constant cursing, talking like a child, making excuses for all his bad behavior. The shoe really wants you on his side but he makes it impossible.

The play call was fine, White was dominating in the 2nd half. The oline just whiffed on that play. Pete should've also had Reggie out there as a decoy

The play that doesnt get enough attention was in the 1st half R Bush lateral to absolutely no one when they were dominating the game. That turned the entire complexion. Reggie was running down the middle of the field after breaking on off and just flips it back.

Wasn't there some story about Vince Young dropping insane amounts of money at the bar at his local Chili's when he was in Tennessee? Something like the bartender acted like he was making some expensive shots that were really something else that was cheap and Vince Young running up huge tabs there?

I remember the Tokyo Joe’s fight at a bar but I don’t remember that story. There are so many it’s easy to forget some. And I was a VY fan, I won a ton betting on Texas vs USC but he was just an irresponsible person and it cut his career short.

One of the dumbest decisions you'll see. Pure arrogance and recklessness by Bush. SC scores there, and it's 14-0.

I think he was doing $600 shots of Cognac, but I don't think you can get that at Chili's.

I remember it was a chain restaurant. And that the bartender was giving him something extremely cheap that VY thought was expensive and he was running up huge tabs.

I’ve watched Vince’s now through getting drafted and rookie season. I’m finding him much more likeable than I expected. Most of his family seems pretty cool too.

The early struggles between Mack & VY yet overcoming it and flourishing was a great part of it.

Also that Steve McNair may have been flawed but also had very positive attributes as well.

It's not VY fault the organization chose him.

Don't think Vince made it any easier with his work ethic and attitude.

But yeah Jeff is definitely a prick.

shite when I made the comment in that thread I hadn't even gotten to the part about him not writing VY back

That part is what got me. VY seemed to be an idiot for his early pro career, but when you go out of your way to write a letter, apologize, and get no response, that is terrible on Jeff Fischer’s part.

How much of an a**hole do you have to be to dismiss someone when they come hat in hand with an apology?

Vince was a child. Made his bed and then whined repeatedly when people reacted to his shitty decisions.

Vince came off as likeable here to me for the most part. I know there's a lot of white washing going on, but he does own up to his mistakes and is pretty candid about them on the documentary. He accepted blame for everything. He knew he had some issues.

He comes off as pretty genuine, down to Earth, and honest about most things. He seems like a normal and genuinely nice guy.

Ir looks like he's is a good place now.

Fisher comes off real bad like others have said. I think they played with the editing of his interview to make him look as bad as possible.

I enjoyed it. Going back to see a lot of the USC game stuff was fun.
