Nelly Korda in the SEC

As someone who doesn’t play golf, but casually follows as a sports fan…how would Nelly Korda fare in the men’s SEC golf championship

The best female golfer in the world doesn't even hit a driver. She wouldn't be the worst but she'd be below average.

Probably somewhere around 15th-20th. This year the SEC was on par 70 Sea Island Golf Club right at 7000 yards. Women usually play par 72 at around 6400 yards. She’d just struggle to make a lot of birdies because she’d be hitting lumber into a lot of par 4s, but she’d also absolutely wax a lot of the field due to her consistency. She’d probably shoot even to maybe 2 under each day.

Not enough pics to properly evaluate.

She's pretty enough and in shape. If you wouldn't spend a night with her you have the gay.

She’d be hitting long irons and woods into holes where the men are all hitting wedge.
I don’t think she’d embarrass herself but it’d be a good showing to finish in the top half.

A woman golfer has never made a single cut at a pga tour event
How many SEC players every single year graduate and end up being at least able to compete on tour? This question is absurd

She would be middle of the pack at her best in a tournament but not compete for wins. SEC golf has really improved.

Well that’s just incorrect

Like 5 maybe, and most of them take a couple of years to get there. She’s the best female player in the world. She almost certainly couldn’t compete to win, but good college players have a scoring average at or slightly over par and can get near 80. Her consistency over 54 holes would have her at the upper middle of the pack over college kids.

She’s pretty long. I think like 275 with her driver average. The guys are hitting 300, but she’d have like 7 iron, maybe 6 iron, to their wedges.
It’s just a different game.
If they play different tees, she could compete obviously at an SEC level.

Question was SEC and from the same tees I don’t think so.

3 over finished t52 out of 96 players. 7000 yards at par 70 isn’t overly long and she hits is far for the women’s game. The women obliterate 6400 yard courses, even is extremely doable on 7k
What’s your basis other than no chance?

I’m a recovering scratch golfer that has played with some elite women NCAA players and played high level national high school golf. I’m shite compared to top SEC guys. And I’ve destroyed some women that were “lower handicaps” than me.
In your example you don’t understand the difference in a 7,000 yard par 70 and 6,400 yard. par 72.

She’s the best women’s golfer on the planet
Elite female golfers often don’t go to college and turn pro at 18 as soon as they’re allowed to. They aren’t playing the same game as all but like 10 collegiate women

Of course I do, that’s why I said her scoring average would be multiple shots worse per round

Had to Google. This is what I found. Wood. And, not guilty.

Ken looper was never top 15 in the SEC and was a frog hair from getting his tour card one year on the korn ferry
Saying Nelly would be 15-25 in the sec is fricking lunacy.

The point is over your head. It’s a different game. If they played the same tees she’s not “upper/middle” of the pack. it’s just not happening.
