With Scott Frost's seat becoming warmer and warmer, rumors are circulating around Lincoln that their top target would be Lane Kiffin, who was born in Lincoln. Probably a long shot, though perhaps Kiffin would view the path to the playoff easier in the Big 10 than it is in the SEC?

Why would you leave Ole Miss for Nebraska?

Why would Kiffin go to NU when he turned down Fayetteville where he actually spent school time at

The best place for him is in Otown

Those days are long gone.

Ole Miss is easily a better program than Nebraska at this point and going forward.

It’s been over 20 years since Nebraska has finished a season ranked in the Top 10. Tom Osborne is walking through that door. A blue blood it is not

Nebraska is a dead program. They should accept mediocrity.

He 100% will end up back there. A team is going to look at his offensive success and think that he can be like Kingsbury. Bombing out for the Raiders doesn't mean much of anything when everyone knows it's a terribly run organization.

This is the most likely scenario unless some legacy program massively overpays him to steal him

Look at the list of Nebraska's last 4 coaches.

The last two were a Mayberry bicycle to work Cow-towner from Corvallis and a favorite son who thought he owed it to his alma-mater.

This is a personal draw job or a bottom of the barrel last chance job for coaches.

Nobody from the SEC save Vandy and Mississippi State is going to Lincoln for success.
