They were 5-3 a few weeks ago and only had to beat one of Michigan St/Maryland/Wisconsin and lost all 3. Now they have a top15 Iowa team for their final game.

They haven’t made a bowl since 2017

That division is such a mess, Northwestern is in 2nd place.

On the bright side for them they just need two tds to beat Iowa.
On the downside that’s impossible for any other team in that division

They actually have a really nice schedule next year other than @ tOSU.

They avoid UW, Oregon, PSU, and Michigan and have a cupcake OOC.
Rhule will be on the hot seat if they don’t turn it around quickly.

I wanted them in a bowl just so we can beat Oklahoma and Nebraska in the same season

In fairness wasn’t Rhule like 1-11 his first year at both Temple and Baylor?

It’s been a damn grind for a long time now.

Finale against Iowa will likely be 5-3 final score. Iowa does not beat themselves whereas that’s been NU’s specialty.

Iowa will be content to play the field position game and wait for us to self-destruct.

Would be nice to play one more game and the extra practices a bowl game affords…..sigh.

GBR.

And there are
Plenty people that thought northwestern would be lucky to win three games.. a remarkable job by that coach.

And just think, up until yesterday they had a shot to win the big ten west.

That's how bad the big ten is.

They died when the Big 12 formed. The conference upped the ante for its academic qualifications then the NCAA banned partial qualifiers. And everyone else eventually caught up with Nebraska’s great training/strength programs. Now all they have to sell recruits on is the glory of Nebraska weather in December and a chance to play in the worst division in P5 football, the Big Ten West.
