What a bunch of cry babies.
You are missing the amount of money and power at stake.
This isn't a "hissy fit." The ACC took a very public stance against ND, as did ESPN. That cost ND a ton of money by not making the playoffs. ND is not bending over and taking it. Instead, they are swinging back at the ACC and ESPN and playing hardball. ESPN stands to lose $30mm by ND foregoing a bowl. I respect that move, but I admit I dislike ESPN and their propaganda and political agenda.
Yet you think ND should stay quiet, bend over and take it? Interesting point of view.

The ACC should kick them out. They don't want to be in the ACC for football because they are valued more as an independent, which is cool, but don't go to them when you need something.. in football.

No.. I think they should schedule better teams in the future, and beat the good teams they DO play.. then this wouldn't be a problem.

ND = refuses to join the conference in football
Miami = full ACC member, including football
Notre Dame has no right to be pissy at the ACC for lobbying in favor of one of their football members when Notre Dame refuses to join the conference as a football member because they want to make more money as an independent. They can't have their cake and eat it too.

There is no way that number is true and it's completely ridiculous for Notre Dame to act like they were done wrong b/c the ACC pushed a full member to make the playoff over them when said full member beat them head to head.

The committee left them out, not espn or the ACC. They are “blaming” the wrong people. They are being pussies.

ND would be dumb as frick to stay with the ACC
Why would you stay with someone who obviously needs you (and you benefit zero) and they oh lucky campaign against you as well?

Why does the ACC need ND?

Gotta set the record straight Chicken.
Gunner was a redshirt sophomore last year, not a true freshman. He did have very limited reps though and ND was his first start.

I don't understand ND beef with Miami
I saw that game - you lost

3. Now that they succeeded, conferences want them to join to so they can share in their wealth.
Let's destroy this myth right away.
ND's current NBC deal pays them about $25 million annually. Their new deal through 2029 doubles that to $50 million.
Each SEC school currently gets $52 million from the Disney agreement. ND is just catching up to where the SEC is right now.

Thanks. He threw 16 passes his freshman year and 19 passes last year before Beck's injury in the SECCG.
By the way, why didn't he red shirt his freshman year? It looks like he only played in four games.

He did redshirt his first year behind SBIV and Beck. Gunner is currently a 4th year junior and can come back next year if he wants.

From what I found it’s estimated that each ACC team benefits about 1 million dollars from having ND’s agreement, but ND also makes about 21 million dollars from the ACC TV deal. Seems like ND is getting more out of their deal with the ACC than the ACC is getting from ND

ND gets done of the ACC football TV revenue…
Posted on 12/9/25 at 1:18 pm to hawgfaninc
Notre Dame officially the biggest pussies in sports.

I’m assuming you mean “none”, but they do get TV revenue, just not from football. They get about 21 million dollars from their other sports being part of the ACC.

For football, ND pays the ACC millions, the ACC gets NBC exposure , and the ACC owes ND none of the football revenue share
