That UK team was absolutely fricking loaded. You must be higher than giraffe pussy.

The 1990 and 1991 UNLV teams were as talented as any to ever step on a college basketball floor.
1996 Kentucky was loaded with talent in their own right and flat out dominated the tournament. They had NBA guys everywhere. Antoine Walker, Ron Mercer, Tony Delk, Anthony Epps, and Derek Anderson all played big roles on that team.

That 96 UK team went like 11 deep. Maybe they didn’t have the most top end talent, but in terms of overall depth, they’re by far the best I’ve seen in my lifetime.
I was too young to watch those unlv teams.
The 2 best teams I’ve seen are 96 Kentucky and that 01 Duke squad led by Jason Williams. Also, I think 05 unc was better than 09.

The most talent I have seen on a team was 83/84 Carolina they had 7 guys on that team go the NBA.
The 99 Duke team had a top 5 that was incredible as well.

74-75-76 Indiana teams were smiling during that run... they didn’t have a ton of pro players, but they were all in on what Knight wanted. Should have won 2 in a row.

That 05 UNC-Illinois game
2005 Illinois was the best team in Big 10 history, and they're on the very short list of best teams who didn't win the title with 1999 Duke.

They should have won that title game in 2005. The officials were horrible in that game. Augustine played 9 minutes due to foul trouble thanks to two awful calls.
HOWEVER, Illinois was very fortunate to beat Arizona in the Elite 8 that same season. They should have lost that game.

It's the NCAA tournament, I bet everyone thought 2015 UK was going to run train on most opponents too. Then they lost to Wisconsin. UCLA is playing really well right now and all it takes is one bad night to lose. Do I think they will win both games though? Probably, but I thought that about a few different teams in the past and they got beat as well

That 2015 Kentucky team struggled to score the basketball more than a few times. They also had some close wins against much inferior opponents throughout the season.
2021 Gonzaga is probably the most efficient college basketball team of the last 30 years. They are way better offensively than the 2015 Kentucky team. That is the difference.

Thanks to the Wizard of Westwood.
UCLA has made 7 Final Fours without John Wooden.
North Carolina has made 7 Final Fours without Dean Smith.
So both had legendary coaches that racked up most of their Final Fours.

96 Kentucky I still think is the best team I’ve seen from wire to wire in a normal season
