i think dallas was the most likely destination (with deron). mark cuban has to be PISSED
there are some tweets this morning that Mark Cuban should be jumping for joy about Dwight staying in ORL.
Means it's DAL vs NJ for Deron.
Also, it's being reported that NJ is in scramble mode this morning to get pieces that'll convince Deron to stay

yeah dwight staying means deron is likely gone to dallas
NJ needs to trade him. supposedly they refuse
can dallas sit on the cap room for 1 more year to get dwight?

Good question. They basically/sneakily mailed this year in to make a run at the Deron/Dwight/Dirk combo in 2012-2013.

Nets are fricked. If Dwight opts-in, there's a 99% chance DW goes to Dallas, and Brooklyn opens their new arena with Brooke Lopez, Kris Kardashian, and a whole bunch of nobodies.

i gave up a boatload in fantasy to have deron williams looking forward. i got stars in my eyes thinking about him throwing passes to dirk and dwight

the Nets are the team to watch today..they have to make a big move.

Does a Brook Lopez-Josh Smith switch make too much sense?

Rockets are shopping eight players, Pacers interested in Courtney Lee

The Houston Rockets have roughly eight players they have shopped around the NBA, so it’s safe to say they will be trading someone today. Terrance Williams, Jonny Flynn, Jordan Hill, Chase Budinger, Patrick Patterson, Luis Scola, Hasheem Thabeet and Courtney Lee have all be offered around, so it seems something will drop for the Houston Rockets today.

Picture this: Otis didn't screw the pooch with that trade last year, we still have Gortat and a few expiring contracts.
We could try to package a deal along with a pick to go at Williams to team with Dwight right now.

Maaannn, I've been going thru "what-if" scenarios for a long, long time
Every time Otis gets us saddled with a terrible contract I'm thinking about what could've happened with that extra cap space. He has had 5+ years to put the pieces around the most dominant center in the league, and then he blows up the best team that he had and continues to get overrated players with shitty contracts.
Even after all of that, Orlando is actually shaping up nicely for 2013 if everything works out. Hedo's contract isn't guaranteed after next year, we should be able to trade BBD no problem, Duhon will be gone, hopefully resign Ryan Anderson, and have plenty of cap space for a big FA offseason (possibly even another max contract type of player). 3 o'clock can't come soon enough though....

What happens when Otis gives him 3 years for $58 million?
I laugh, because I know every Magic fan just cringed.

Per Twitter, the Pacers have acquired Leandro Barbosa from the Raptors.
No word on what the Pacers gave up for him, but they have enough cap space to eat Barbosa's contract without sending anyone back to Toronto.
