I do not want the NBA to fail at all.

But they really need to do something to up their viewership in the regular season.

I don't want the NBA to fail either. I grew up watching then NBA back in the 80's when the NBA consisted of 4 teams (Lakers, Celtics, 76ers, and Rockets) and enjoyed the sport. The "faces" of the sport were people who you enjoyed watching, like Bird, Magic, Dr. J., then eventually Jordan.

I could give 2 fricks less about the assholes who are the superstars now. I can do without Bron Bron and Kawhi and all them.

That's what happens you have an imbalanced league with all of the superstars in one conference.

The nba regular season is the dumbest in all of sports. When the playoffs lasts for more than 2 months and literally MOST of the teams in the league make the playoffs, people are going to care less about the regular season.
Ding ding ding

There are 30 teams and 16 of them make the playoffs which lasts months.

The regular season is irrelevant.

League Pass is awful so that doesn't help.

It also doesn't help when you nationally televise all 82 Warrior games so we have the joy of watching Draymond and a team full of journeymen and rookies take on the Western Conference. We got stuck with way too many LeBron-less Laker games last year. Even as a Pelicans fan, the national audience doesn't get to watch their main draw with Zion out. They need to balance and flex some of the scheduling to improve on that.

The NBA has a serious issue. The “analytical” way to play is boring to watch. Nobody wants to watch players chucking up 3s. Used to love the NBA but only watch the Pelicans play now.

So the general public is finally learning what I learned a long time ago: The NBA is a shitty product with a bunch of shitty people playing in it and running it.

You thought China was a big deal with the players thinking Morey was affecting their pocket books just wait for the current tv deal to expire.

That will be an absolute shite show.

I’m watching the Mavs for the first time in 4-5 years aside from Dirk’s final game last season. I’m enjoying my team, but I have zero interest in any other markets.

Maybe they should broadcast more games in China and include their viewership numbers.

Shitty people playing. Bunch of fakes and phonies like LeBron James. Too many people associated are too outspoken about issues they don’t really even understand because they were handed millions at 20 years old. So they never had a chance to understand how the world really works. And instead live in a fantasy world.

Once you start choosing a side politically in a public forum you are gonna cut off half of the country. And the China thing is probably not helping either

Other than Lebron, how many players can we actually name that have come out and have been outspoken on political issues?

Off the top of my head I can't really think of many other than Lebron.
