Lakers can have the best defensive team in the league by far with a trade of Ingram, Kuzma, and Deng for Leonard.

Right. This will happen. Put money on it.

The Phoenix Suns wanted to lose every game they played last year. Literally nothing that happened in his 20 games or whatever in PDX matters to me at all.

He's the 4th or maybe even 5th Guard on a team likely making league minimum.

The Pels need a corpse than get the ball past midcourt for like 10 minutes a game. They had zero 3rd ball handlers last year. That's all this is. No one should be making more of it than that.

George choosing Russ and okc over Lebron and LAL tell us that players aren’t really chomping at the bits to play w Lebron. We know randle wants out of LA. We know Paul was Fa 2x and didnt have interest in joining him. We know hardwn didn’t recruit him

All of those guys have no championships.

Winning isn't everything though. Being in the NBA is about relationships right?

My hope is that the Pels don’t compare Elfrid to Rondo

that's cool... i just know OKC won exactly 1 more game with him, than they did without him.... they are now paying as an elite player, giving him a max contract... i'm not saying he's a shite player.... i just don't think he makes the cut as an "elite" player

Is Clark not capable of handling the ball for 10 minutes a game? I have a hard time believing Elfrid would be more effective than him at that.

Member a few weeks ago when Lebron said he wanted high iq teammates. Then they add lance and javale. all they need to add is cousins and they would have a trio of bone heads.

They are probably bringing back Rondo. I think they see Payton as a guy that can give them 10-15 minutes a game in the regular season as a very poor mans bench Rondo.

People have no idea the problems Pels had all year when Rondo and Jrue were on the bench. They had Ian Clark basically playing point and he could barely get the ball past midcourt if a team even pressed a little.

I thought he was thought of as a defensive stalwart?

Elfrid's job is going to be to play pg when Rondo isn't on the court. He'll be playing alongside Jrue or Moore and a guy like Darius Miller. Get the ball up the court, play serviceable defense, make some layups, and get the ball to shooters. I doubt they're expecting him to play 35 minutes as a primary playmaker.

He's not. He's a scorer. Pretty poor ball handler. Lots of turnovers when pressed.

And he's a Free Agent.
