is it not possible that he didn't actually have a good upbringing and a "loving family"?

his father and mother being together and taking a couple nice pictures doesn't mean his dad wasn't an abusive drunk gang member or something.

eta: his high school is 79% minority and the average household income of that town is less than 41k.

Stopped here, you obviously haven't been to a NBA game or undertand the demographics of the average NBA fan, or maybe you are mistaking the NBA for the old AND1 league.

You’re so ate up with the ‘whites are the bad guy’ narrative that’s been perpetuated by our media that you can’t even bring yourself to acknowledge the issue with the whole Ja Morant situation

I've heard a few people mention as much this morning on ESPN. I really wanted to hear what they had to said about the Ja Morant situation. I really just don't understand it. He's literally his own worst enemey

Lol. Sports leagues have been emphasizing cultural and racial concerns for years now. They're gonna stop racism and all manner of social ills. Steve Kerr is gonna end mass shootings. But when it comes to the glorification of guns and thug culture, they never have shite to say. And here you come, telling everyone to stick their heads back in the sand.

Two things are certain to happen with the adult male in this country. Cars and Guns. Maybe not in that order. The many manifestations of how the different cultures embrace cars and guns are simply open to different interpretations.

Adam Silver's single obligation is to turn this Ja Morant second incident into a referendum for the no-handgun zone in the NBA. Ja Morant went to counseling and Ja Morant publicly apologized for his behavior to get his first reinstatement. Now it's obvious Ja Morant is not rehabilitated and isn't listening to his own words after only a few weeks.

A year off from the NBA without pay sounds about right.

Whats your stance on all the political shite and BLM stuff the NBA got involved in?

Also, the way Ja is acting is exactly black culture.

I disagree. They should discipline Ja Morant as necessary. But we don't need them trying to make political statements for things irrelevant to their actual product.

That's the issue now with companies trying to champion different social messages.

I agree with the sentiment, but that would be Bud Light level brand suicide.

Maybe worse.

They've been doing that for the last several years. They won't touch this one because they're hypocrites.

Their fanbase would Bud Light the shite out of the NBA, unfortunately for them.

I don't think that is true anymore, especially when including gang violence where more than two people were shot.
