This could actually be a good opportunity for the NBA to be a positive influence for young black fans who are at risk of falling into this lifestyle.
Of course they aren’t going to do it and people like you don’t want them to, but it’s worth talking about

The NBA should shut up and dribble, but it's pretty clear that they aren't going to do that. So, if they are going to speak on social issues, maybe they should speak on social issues that actually matter, not just issues that get virtue points on reddit/twitter.

Look at the music that is popular. Look at the “hero’s” in the movies/shows Hollywood is producing. Look at the polling data showing values being embraced by average Americans.
