Its pretty obvious Russ is the antithesis of Rockets basketball.

Lowes article certainly didnt paint a pretty picture. He basically said for it to work on offense to give the ball to Russ, then said immediately after that it may be worse because Harden is far more efficient with the ball in his hands.
The biggest difference will be the catch and shoot 3. CP3 was really good at it, and westbrook shoots 33% on catch and shoot.

Russ is like a lower efficiency version of Harden. They both need an offense centered on giving them the ball and letting them do their thing.
Neither seems particularly well situated to play off the other.
50% iso for Russ, 50% iso for James.

I think this originated from Harden, which is difficult to go against. This is a player's league now.
I still have a hard time wrapping my head around this. Westbrook is an extremely bad shooter.

And what way is that? fricking Clint Capela is a comparable shooter to Russ.
And now they're talking about Andre Igoudala?
How is this team ever going to make a shot? You cant iso Harden all game with Russ on the team and Hes a horrible catch and shoot player, as hes a horrible shooter period. Theres no way to hide this.

gonna be a really fun season. I am so much more excited for 2 all-stars on a team than 3. creates so much more balance & interest imo.
and I think KD winning 2 finals MVPs and still not getting the credit he thinks he deserves is the cautionary tale for a lot of other players in the NBA.
