That basically is only called if the ball handler is out of control. Lebron was in complete control. It was a stupid play on Curry's part. He had no chance to get to that spot on time and with 1 foul already there was no sense in him risking anything there, especially seeing as that isn't a great part of his game.
I think what's happening is that Cleveland realized that they can control the game by making certain GSW players play defense and attacking them.

They've had plenty of mediocre/bad starts in both the regular season and the playoffs and ended up winning by double digits.
