It's the 2nd top story, behind the NBA Finals game.

In southeast DC. This is like saying there’s been a shooting in NOLA East. No shite.

Whew
Thank god. This kind of shite cannot go unnoticed
We need to end the violence and destruction that is plaguing our urban areas right now.
They’re absolutely war zones

Not sure how many people know this but nats park is in southeast DC. It’s been gentrifying since it got built but that is still by far the most dangerous area of DC.

The USCG HQ used to be near the stadium. I had a friend who was in a carpool get carjacked in that area. I usually park at Ft McNair near the soccer stadium and walk to the stadium it can be a little sketchy at times.
I’m taking my kids to the game tomorrow. Hopefully, the Padres will still take BP so we can get some HR balls.

I've ridden the bus that drops off on the 3B side of the stadium. The route that bus takes goes through the ghetto. Did not know any better the first night, and did not make that trip again the second night.

Seeing the players and families run into the dugout is so over the top dramatic. This happens every day in DC and other cities like it. Chill out.

I'll say this, if you've never heard violence based gun shots close to you before it's fricking terrifying.

please tell me how you would handle literal gunshots at a large social event that you were attending attending friends and/or family

Definitely not something to make light of. Rising crime rates and hatred of police and authority is the perfect cocktail for these events.

Thanks for the sentiment, but truth be told me and my boys have been born to fight, trained to kill, ready to die, but never will.

You’re making the area around Nats stadium sound like a war zone. It’s extremely gentrified. Is there crime? Absolutely. But drive bys in that immediate area aren’t a normal thing at all in the last few years.

This is why some of the brainwashed are so pro gun control, they’ve never been around one before and think you don’t need one

Okay that’s good
Just be safe, it’s a war zone in these cities
And I don’t see it getting better anytime soon

We have stopped allowing people to be accountable for their own actions. Everyone is now just a number, a group, a political voting bloc.
