Because Cole was the best pitcher in baseball this season and the chances of beating him two in a row was slim to none, especially with our dead bats. Don’t be obtuse.

Correct. Y'all had a slump at the wrong time.BUT if the Nats somehow find a way to win tonight, game 7 is there for the taking.

There's never been a WS winner with all 4 wins on the road.

I have a feeling JV getting through the 1st unscathed or not decides the game.

Also, Lou thanks for the kind wishes on page 1

To the dat baws this is the day. This is why we put in the work during spring training. This is why we grinded through 162. Countless trips to bucees and Cincinnati. We dragged ludlow and hunch along kicking and screaming. See y’all on the other side.

I agree, but that doesn’t mean Scherzer, who is also an excellent pitcher, doesn’t beat him twice in a row, especially on his own turf.

I don’t care if you have Mike Scott circa 1986 throwing, if you can’t score, it doesn’t matter who you have on the mound.

Just admit your comment regarding Martinez holding Scherzer out of Game 5 so he can pitch in Game 7 is idiotic so we can move on.

Benching Scherzer for Ross since a loss to Cole was inevitable was pure brilliance.

No shite Sherlock I was referring to Game 5. Did Ross pitch Game 1? No.

You’re either blissfully or willfully stupid. Do you not see the “stupid” when these two statements are spoken back to back by the same person?

My heart is on Houston. But, it would be very unique to have a World Series where no home team won a game.

Good luck Astros, hopefully we don't need to close the dome for "elements". Baseball is meant to be outside and should end the season under the open skies.

Nats best pitcher. Great chance to cement this season as one of the best ever. Down 2-0, win all games on the road, and seal it back at home for a “we gave you hope” sweep.

5deep, hope all is going well brother. My prayers are with you, be strong man. A positive attitude and a strong will has more than a trivial affect.
