Damn. I have a friend who is a big, strong alpha nordic type and he was on the ropes from pneumonia over the winter, but got through it. Broke his ribs from coughing so much.
Life is short.

They downvote because Bubba is Black. You must be new here.

What precautions can you take? If you sit out races, you’re screwed in the points, both in the old system and today’s system.
I posted earlier that Ned Jarrett raced with a broken back. Dale Sr. raced with bone chips in his neck from a crash cutting into nerves and causing his hands and arms to be numb. I’ve heard stories of drivers vomiting inside their cars they were so sick.
Some racing series only count a certain number of races which gives drivers a cushion to miss a few and still have a chance in the points. NASCAR doesn’t and I don’t see this changing that tradition.

I’d argue it’s because Bubba is a dishonest drama queen. The exact opposite of the drivers who paved his road. The Jussie Smollett type prank he attempted was disgusting regardless of his skin color.

They may keep the 8, but revert back to the font Reddick used. The font KFB uses is the one he designed.
Wouldn’t hate that. Wouldn’t be opposed to changing 8 back to 31 either.
Outright retiring it, I’m not sure. But at least change the font back to what it was in 2022.

What do y’all think of RCR retiring #8 for a long time like they did with Dale? Change the #8 to #29 or #33.
I wouldn't think so. As has already been said, the 8 isn't nearly connected to Kyle as the 3 was with Dale. Kyle was more connected to the 18 in Cup or the 51 in Trucks.
I'll be honest, I think RC got the 8 for two reasons...
1) It allowwd Kyle to have a connection to the 18, similar to Jr. going to the 88 with Hendrick
2) If JRM ever decides to field a full time Cup ride it will be easy to transfer the 8 over to them.

Tbh Kyle Busch is #18, not #8. RCR may or may not use #8 for a while, but I'm guessing Gibbs and NASCAR probably sort of retire #18 until his son or someone with a connection to the Busch family makes it to cup.

So now the AP is saying several people who spoke with them say he was found unresponsive in the simulator in Concord, NC Wednesday.

I highly recommend everyone read the tribute that Austin Dillon, grandson of Richard Childress and Kyle’s teammate, just posted on Instagram. It’s tremendous.

After reading that my heart goes out to Richard Childress. I’m sure he’s reliving the nightmare of 2/18/01.

They might be downvoting his white half, that's probably where his bitch tendencies come from.

That is going to be pulmonary embolism
Probably had DVT in leg from sitting long periods then got the pulmonary embolism.
Also just saw he had significant injury to his leg couple months ago that required 24 stitches.

Great video from Kenny Wallace.

Apparently pneumonia can also cause embolisms. Probably not a coincidence it happened in the simulator.

Another driver, Brian Vickers used to get pulmonary embolisms and DVT
Isn't that what forced him out of the sport?
He either got clots or was in a blood thinner and was at risk for hemorrhaging if he was in a wreck.
