96 Bulls destroy that team.

Defense was all time great.

Maybe...are we playing Prison rules or 2018 rules?

McHale in 1986 could clothesline Curry and send him out of the game and only be called for a two shot-foul - that someone else would have to take...ala Kurt Rambis.

Plus I think McHale and the Chief would enjoy taking 5 steps off the pivot to make an easy layup.

This is why you can't compare eras.

I'm not so sure the Pistons wouldn't beat them under the old rules. They had the depth.

I’m pretty sure the Celtics big 3 he’s referring to is the Pierce/Allen/Garnett version, not Bird/McHale/Parish

I would think any Russian, Soviet, or East German biathlon team would have a pretty good chance.

The Lakers 2001 team when they flipped the switch

39-2

15-1 in a stacked west: best playoff run in history (avg margin of victory greatest ever)

Prime Kobe/Shaq and Role players running the triangle to perfection. Most dominant 40+ game stretch (through the playoffs) ever.

GS would be cornholed

THAT Laker team was crazy dominant. Peak of the dynasty.

They took probably the best spurs team ever and curb stomped them in the playoffs.

Or Zaza could rip McHale's eye out and eat it and only have to sit 1 game.

Also, what stars were sent out of huge games back in the day? Give me a, "man _____ team definitely would have won that series if ____ superstar didn't get thrown into the stands and killed."

Yeah they were awesome, but GS's ability to shoot the 3 would keep them in any game/series. The idea that another team could beat them in 7 is understandable, but you're not going to sweep this team or win in 5 like others have suggested. That's hogwash.

And that 1 L came at the expense of a double overtime game.

I’ve seen more Golden State would run (name past great team here) out of the gym. But these are all great teams and it’s unlikely any are getting swept in these hypothetical matchups once you get to the 80s
