Clark is gonna soon realize no matter how much she panders it's never going to be enough.

I didn’t realize a league that loses millions a year has a different owner than daddy NBA. I bet it’s pretty cheap to pick up one of these franchises

The owners make money, the league loses money. It's a microcosm for how congress uses our country.

If you think the owners are losing money you've been misled.

NBA owners have a significant stake in the WNBA, owning nearly 60% of the league. When combined with their personal stakes in WNBA teams, NBA owners have a 75% stake in the league.

Who is "they"?

Yes, there are some who hate her, and the media fans the flames. And the mouth breathers carry the narrative.

Reality is that the vast majority of the league probably sees the value in what Clark brings to the table.

WNBA on the MSB, thought I'd never see it. Trash talking heads like Whitlock and Travis have won the day.

The mystics owner probably sees it too and knows that this statement will just stir up more controversy and generate clicks.

She is a real idiot but she also could be playing this up. How did she come to own a wnba franchise? Did she inherit the money to buy it? I've never heard of this woman.

Imagine being a white man, living in Texas and not being a Trump supporter. Only explanation would be homosexuality IMO.

What does sexuality have to do with knowing a swamp creature when you see one.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The funniest thing about this entire exchange is Trump voted Democrat in several elections.

Anyone that still votes for D and R swamp has no room to talk

Her getting more attention because she's white isn't fictional tho.

I’d say her game plus being more just a normal human being (I.e not a lesibian/bi-sexual and not flamboyant) had more to do with it.

Sure, a few more white people supported her than likely would have if she were black or Hispanic, but the bulk was she was supposedly a female version for Steph Curry.

Reality is that that game of women’s basketball is inherently less entertaining.
Add in their entitled attitudes and you get this result.

Much like women expecting equal purse money at Tennis Grand Slams but only playing best 2 out of 3 sets to men having to play best 3 out of 5. It irks some because they are literally doing less work for the same money.

The WNBA will be more profitable than MLS and NHL the second their next media deal is signed.

That deal was a capitulation to the NBA. They basically held the broadcasters rights to the NBA hostage if ESPN didn’t overpay by a magnitude of 10 for the WNBA rights.

Let’s be honest, and admit that more people will watch an NHL game than they will a WNBA game if both are options.

So edgy to be a too cool for school "independent" and not realize how close we were to losing 1st and 2nd amendments.

How edgy to be naive enough to think that Western Europe and Canada have the same freedoms that Americans have, and that there was no meaningful choice in this election.

Doubtful. The media deal will be larger but they still won’t be profitable.

The way everyone in the WNBA is crying about this award is wild considering it's only been around since 2019. You'd think Time has been snubbing WNBA for 50+ years.

2024 - Caitlin Clark
2023 - Messi
2022 - Aaron Judge
2021 - Simone Biles
2020 - Lebron James
2019 - USWNT
